Reviewing The Celebrity Traitors' Climax – A Remarkable Finish!

Did the winner play a blinder? Or were the faithfuls simply perform incredibly – I mean sensational poorly? We will argue across online platforms endlessly, in any case the victor of the first – and likely not the final – season of The Celebrity Traitors is the treacherous Alan Carr.

At the moment of his appointment by the host, viewers assumed he wouldn’t last even sixty minutes. Nor did he. “I am nauseous. I’ve got a sweating problem and find it impossible to maintain a secret.” Moreover, he is incapable of murmur or recollect if he had secured a shield.

Surrounded, however, by several of the least astute players of the game in recent memory, he managed to succeed, developing into the role with terrifying ease. He finished with a flourish, breaking out in somewhat fake crying about how challenging it had been for him to bear the murderous burden.

The remaining pair of trusting contestants, moved to reassure him (“It’s been tearing me apart!”). Audiences elsewhere, many envisioned upturned glances and screams.

The Final Showdown

At the start of the last episode, there had been five left competitors of the starting group of nineteen. Following a final team challenge, involving a locomotive, £20,000 in padlocked caskets, tools and tips scattered across the wagons, and two metal-bound caskets (“I stepped up a bit there,” says one contestant of the revealing. “Because I was happy to lose a finger”), they gathered for their ultimate meeting.

Two participants made their selections for a different contestant, despite the historian’s remarkable track of logically guiding himself to every incorrect decision imaginable. I remain firm in my belief that that contestant would have made the world’s greatest traitor, but as a loyalist he was disastrous.

He succeeded to choose a different player at the table, however, and she was accurately eliminated in the end.

Sorrow and Forgiveness

With four left. I can hardly bear to narrate what happened next. A specific participant … experienced a doubt. A period when he questioned his best friend. Among the most profound bonds of recent history, between the largest individual and the most diminutive character on the screen, the rugby player and the puzzlemaster, faltered under the blow as the doubter revealed his final slate to show his best buddy’s name.

The eliminated contestant stood firm – his nature does not allow for it – but had he been able, he could have. “But I love you,” the friend said, despairingly.

The removed participant left, the surviving pair assumed they were in the clear and following a procedure entailing tossing bags into a fire, the group decided to conclude the game.

Since he was the lone surviving traitor, the champion was declared the winner and took the complete cash sum for the pediatric cancer organization. However, the crucial point is that when the emcee guided the five to a meeting on the fortress stairs, amends was swift.

Saying Goodbye to the Contestants

I am going to, in company with the in excess of 13 million other spectators, miss them all. (Apart from a couple of participants who lacked the occasion to do much, and one more who did not express regret for bungling a particular challenge.)

I am going to regret the loss of the bitter fury of an individual participant, the Shakespearean sorrow of a separate player, the utter inability of another participant to interpret events without self-reference.

I will yearn for one participant’s aversion to lengthy terms, a pair’s wit, a singer’s pure charisma, a vocalist as the essence of everything that endures as virtuous in this imperfect reality, a seasoned entertainer as TV’s enduring personality, a sweet-natured contestant and the constant uncle-like charm of an adored individual, together with all the endgame contestants.

Most importantly I am going to lament the loss of the dignity and style of an individual participant, so exquisitely regal even when yelling into a shaft or passing gas in a hut. As the individual under the host’s hair emphasized on numerous instances, you were, largely, awful at the game. But you were superb, fantastic amusement.
