Man That Grabbed Ariana Grande during Premiere Barred from Singapore

An Australian man who jumped over a barricade and reached for actress Ariana Grande has been expelled and prohibited from Singapore.

The individual, twenty-six, was handed a penalty to more than a week in jail for causing a public disturbance and has now been "banned from entering the country again," Singaporean immigration authorities stated to local media.

He has a background of causing disturbances at events and star-studded occasions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in the past June.

The incident caused anger in Singapore, with many claiming he of triggering past trauma for the singer.

The pop star has discussed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at her show in the UK city in May 2017 resulted in the deaths of 22 people and hurt numerous attendees.

In the legal process, the court heard he had attempted to intrude on the red carpet event twice, according to local news sources.

He then made a second attempt to breach security. Event security stopped him and held him in place.

He then uploaded recordings expressing gratitude to the star for permitting his access and said he was "released."

Law enforcement arrested him the subsequent day and accused him with disorderly conduct, to which Wen pleaded guilty.

The District Judge the judicial official was referenced by Channel News Asia as stating that he was looking for publicity, noting that he was mistaken to believe he would not suffer any consequences.

The singer has not commented on the incident.

Cynthia Erivo spoke about the incident to NBC, stating that she "only aimed to make sure my colleague was safe."

"I'm sure he had no intention to us harm, but you never know with these incidents, and I sought to confirm that she was alright. That was my first instinct," she stated.
